I caved and started reading this to take a break from Beloved by Toni Morrison which was getting too heavy - and I FINISHED IT IN A DAY BECAUSE I COULDN’T STOP READING. This is god-tier-fanfiction levels of good. BRITISH PRINCE AND FIRST SON OF THE U.S. IN AN ENEMIES TO FRIENDS TO LOVERS WITH A FAKE FRIENDSHIP FOR ~diplomacy~ reasons AND THE DIALOGUE AND SIDE CHARACTERS ARE ALL ACTUALLY FUNNY AND SUPER SMART?!?? I BEEN WAITIN FOR THIS ONE - TURN IT UUUUUUUUPPP.
Anyways yeah I love it, they’re so fucking cute together too like the pacing is perfect, politics plot is perfect, perfect balance of romance & other story tings, diverse cast of miscreants and rich and powerful twenty-somethings with big hearts, ugh I love em all. And the nerdiness of both of them - referencing muthafucking gay love letters of history to each other???? Shut up. Shut the fuck up. Also thank god they’re in their twenties I’m too old to read about awkward self-conscious teenagers - twenty-something bisexual anxious messes with a lowkey ego/god complex and competency kink ONLY.
