Gorgeous could-not-put-it-down senior year YA queer rom-com. Like a beautiful, extra gay blend between Booksmart and Paper Towns. Casey McQuiston does it again!!! Also just so wonderfully hopeful as a story about young baby queer teens who feel so much, all at once, for the very first time. Top notch plot, incredibly loveable cast of characters, and such satisfying payoff in the end.

I didn’t go to a Christian school in Alabama, but I did go to a tiny all-girls private school with a broadly conservative, don’t ask don’t tell vibe. And I was absolutely a Chloe, chronic competitive over-achiever and assertive to the point of being mean. I could relate to that teenaged cockiness and bravado but also the underlying desperation and fear and desire to be liked. Anyways this was fantastic and I literally read it within 24 hours.
